Making a Difference in Hawai'i
Hawai'i Rotary District 5000
Aloha Action Campaign Starting January 2025
Aloha Action is Rotary District 5000’s newest initiative to raise awareness of Hawaii Rotary, promote our People of Action service projects, and generate membership interest. This campaign invites community members to “try before you buy” by participating in our service projects through the Rotary Experience Pass program. Get involved, make a difference, and experience the impact of Rotary firsthand.

Malama Maui Weekend is Happening!
Malama Maui Weekend: April 25-26, 2025!
Make Magic with Aloha. From Seedlings to Shelter.
During our district-wide Week of Environmental Service, join us for two transformative days on Maui where your hands and heart can help write the next chapter of healing and hope.
Friday: Unite with local nonprofits on crucial housing and education initiatives that strengthen the communities.
Saturday: Join our partnership with Treecovery to nurture and re-pot non-invasive tree seedlings - part of our district-wide global grant project to replant the burn zone in the coming years. Rotary Club of Kathmandu Metro, Nepal is our international partner for the grant and we have asked each club in our district to contribute at least $100 of global grant money to this project.

As a humanitarian organization, Rotary makes peace a cornerstone of our mission. And so, Promoting Peace is one of our seven Areas of Focus. The Rotary Peace Fellowship and its Peace Centers train leaders to prevent and mediate conflict through fully-funded fellowships for a Master’s Degree or Professional (post-graduate) Certificate in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Applications for the new academic year, Fall of 2026, are now available. I serve as the D5000 main point of contact and support for the Rotary Peace Fellowship, and I ask for your help in finding qualified candidates. If you or your suggested candidate have questions or seek more information, please contact me directly.
