We completed the Kahauiki III collecting, assembling and distribution of 36 household kits yesterday, Veteran’s Day, with some loyal Rotarians and friends on a hot, but beautiful holiday for some, and some others that came to help before going to work.  In all, we had 25 volunteers to continue our efforts to provide a better life for those less fortunate than us.

We also had a crew to assemble shelving units for the residents, since they do not have any closets or storage space, money provided by a grant from D5000.  Upon completion of the shelving units, the workers were dispatched to do some clearing and weeding in the area.  All of the work was completed by 10:30 because of the efficient and hardworking volunteers.  A detailed after action report is forthcoming.
