The Saturday evening keynote speaker is former Ambassador Jim Moriarty. Service Project to donate hygiene kits to U.S. Vets. Please bring items and help package in the House of Friendship on Friday and Saturday morning. Collect items at your club meeting and someone can bring them on August 21 to the conference site.
On Saturday, get some fresh air as you walk, stroll, run or jog in the Ke'ehi Lagoon Park before the Conference! We'll start around 6:30am and you go at your own pace in the peaceful setting. More information to come.
On Saturday night, a special viewing of the documentary film, “Removed By Force: The Eviction of Hawaiʻi’s Japanese American During WWII” will be shown for those who are interested. This is a one-hour film that highlights personal accounts of those who were affected, produced by Bill Kaneko, former president of the Honolulu Japanese American Citizens League, and Kahala Sunrise Rotarian Ryan Kawamoto. Small donations will be accepted.
On Friday, we have tournments! Try your hand at horse shoes or cornhole (bean bag toss) at the conference site on Friday from 3 to 5pm. The sold out Golf starts at 9:30am at the Navy Marine course and Pickleball starts at 1pm. Pickleball won out over tennis, so no tennis tournament, sorry.
