Statement from Rotary International
At Rotary, we have no tolerance for racism. Promoting respect, celebrating diversity, demanding ethical leadership, and working tirelessly to advance peace are central tenets of our work.
We have more work to do to create more just, open and welcoming communities for all people. We know there are no easy fixes and that challenging conversations and work lie before all of us. Rotary’s strength has long been our ability and commitment to bringing people together. We will tap into that strength now as we stand with those who are working for peace and justice.
Rotary will do our part to listen, learn and take action to ensure that we continue to contribute to making positive change.

Volunteers needed to help Kupuna.  As you may know we have a lot of kupuna that need assistance.  GRAMMI Services and Kupuna Kokua are fulfilling that need by delivering food and masks.  The group is adding a GRAMMI service to deliver groceries on Oahu and also make out-going calls to seniors living alone or are isolated on all islands.  These outgoing calls offer a caring human touch and volunteers who can give an hour or more each week are needed to call a few seniors.  We are partnering with GRAMMI services to:
  1. Manning a call center for incoming grocery orders and outgoing calls to kupuna to stay in touch
  2. Assemble grocery orders at Times Supermarket and other markets for curbside pickup once a week for 1-2 hours on Oahu
They already have a fleet of delivery drivers and are expanding their services.  The GRAMMI app is used to place the grocery order and pay online.  Those who are unable to use the app would call the Call Center to place the order by phone.

We have an informational seminar on Sunday, June 14th at 1pm to explain the program. Here is the Zoom code for this info session: Join Zoom Meeting
