Aloha Fellow Rotarians,

As I look back on this Rotary year, the memories and moments spent visiting you have been gratifying and special.  Your presence at our District Conference at the Four Seasons Hotel filled the event with a lot of Aloha.  Working together, sharing stories, singing, dancing, playing music, and making new friends has been just wonderful and I thank the District Conference Committee for all their hard-work.  Your positive remarks made the effort worthwhile and I thank you for that.

June is the last month of this Rotary year and is designated as Rotary Fellowship month. Rotary Fellowships are international groups that share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends around the world, explore a hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary experience.  To join, go to https://www.rotary.org/en/our-programs/more-fellowships and contact a fellowship directly or check out the links on the page.  I’m sure there is something for everyone. If not, check out the instructions on starting one.  In District 5000, we have an active Wine Fellowship and invite you to join us by contacting Liz Kane (RC of Honolulu Sunset or Charlene Meyers (RC of Hilo) for more information.

As we prepare for the 2018-19 District Leadership Team, donʻt forget to take care of your District and Rotary International dues by the end of the month, input your club goals online, and update your club directory.

In closing, I wish to express my heartfelt Aloha for joining me on our Rotary voyage “Navigating Together to Change Lives.”    It has been a real pleasure serving you as District Governor and working together as we continue “Making a Difference the Rotary Way.”

Me Ke Aloha Pumehana,

Nalani Flinn
