Hilo volunteers will be operating a FREE shuttle service, the Friendly Rotary Shuttle. Here's how you can take advantage of the shuttle from Hilo International Airport to the Grand Naniloa Hotel as well as back to the airport from the hotel.
RIDE THE FRIENDLY ROTARIAN SHUTTLE FREE
You're here for DISCON 2023 Hilo and have arrived on Thursday (5/18), Friday (5/19), or Saturday (5/20). Take advantage of the FREE Friendly Rotarian Shuttle service. Volunteer drivers operating the FREE Friendly Rotarian Shuttle can pick you and your party up at the airport to get to the Grand Naniloa Hotel. This FREE shuttle service is also available on Sunday (5/21) to get you back to airport from the hotel.
ARRIVING IN HILO (Thursday, May 18; Friday, May 19; or, Saturday, May 20)
- Call 808-937-1005 before your departure (call when you are at your island's airport leaving for Hilo).
- Leave a voice message with your name, your phone number, your estimated time of arrival at Hilo International Airport, and the number of people in your party.
- Call again, 808-937-1005, when you have landed in Hilo.
- Shuttles are operated by volunteer drivers. Please load and unload your own luggage on to the shuttle.
RETURNING HOME (Sunday, May 21)
- Locate the Sign-Up Sheet at DISCON
- The sign-up sheet will have slots based on the number of available seats. Print your name and your phone number in the available slots. If there are more than just you departing, please print their names in the available slots (one name per slot).
- Include your mobile phone number.
- Be ready to leave 15 minutes before the departure time stated on the sign-up sheet.
- Shuttles are operated by volunteer drivers. Please load and unload your own luggage.
