As you know, we are trying to find community service projects this year that support our mental health platform under our Create Hope in the World 2023-24 Rotary Theme. The upcoming "Out of the Darkness Walk" is a perfect project and Oahu Rotary Clubs have set up a Walk Team. It is super easy to join the team. We are hoping to get as many Rotarians registered to walk with us on Saturday, September 9th.
The Walk is simple, its at the Frank Fasi Building area, Honolulu Hale but the most important part is to get access to information about mental health. There will be 13 organizations attending to share about services and programs. This is a great opportunity to bring everyone...Keiki to Kupuna and learn more. Its often a topic filled with stigma and shame but this venue is safe, fun, and full of aloha.
When you register, it will prompt you to raise funds; that is not our focus. We want you to come out and be a part of the event.
Look for the Rotary tent, it will be a place to gather, feel free to bring snacks for your team.
