Aloha from the Maui Rotary Family!
On Monday, September 11, 2023, nine incredible Rotarians from our West Maui Clubs (Lahaina) joined forces to deliver much-needed relief items to the Relief Center Day Care at Sands of Kahana. This tremendous effort was in collaboration with Hawai'i Rotary District 5000 Foundation's Maui Fires Relief Fund.
What Did We Deliver?
- Lahaina Club: 1 Rocking Chair
- Lahaina Sunrise Club: Preschool Games, 10 Journal Books, paper towels, kinetic sand and easels.
- Lahaina Sunset Club: 1 Rocking Chair, 1 Bluetooth Speaker
Funding & Cost
We're grateful for the generous Maui Fire Relief funds donated directly to these clubs. The total cost of these items was $500 (and were not from D5000 grant allocation funds).
Special Rotary Gear Donated!
Big Mahalo to the Rotary Club of Santa Cruz Sunrise from Northern California for donating safety vests, hats, and reusable name tags to our West Maui Clubs, particularly touching since many members lost their Rotary attire in the fires.
