Upcoming Projects
December 8th
One of the event organizers for the Honolulu Marathon Aid Station this year in Kahala for UH Manoa Rotaract. We are in need of volunteers to fulfill the minimum requirement to be able to run the aid station. Please contact Linh Nguyen Tran (UH Manoa Rotaract), 808 495 2341, duylinh@hawaii.edu
1. The event date is Sunday, December 8th, 2024, from 4:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with three different shifts to choose from if volunteers can't attend early in the morning.
2. The station is located near the Aloha Gas Station across from Kahala Mall (see this link for the exact location, it is an informational handout from last year).
3. For our group, we will need 35+ total members so recruit as many volunteers as possible! Keep in mind that I will be closing the Google Form on November 24th @ 11:59 PM in order to tally up t-shirts and attendance to send to the marathon organizers.
4. On Monday, November 25th @ 6:00 PM will be a MANDATORY informational meeting via Zoom for all who filled out the Google Form and committed to the event.

December 14th
The Rotary Club of Ala Moana will host its annual Santa Clothes service project. Select students from King William C. Lunalilo will be accompanied by Rotarians on a $100.00 shopping spree for clothes and school supplies at Walmart Keeaumoku on Saturday, December 14, 2024, beginning at 9:00 A.M. Volunteers will encourage and assist the student with shopping within the parameters of the program, keep track of the $100 spending, and assist in the payment at checkout with funds provided by the Rotary Club of Ala Moana's treasure. 🌱 Saturday: Join our partnership with Treecovery to nurture and re-pot non-invasive tree seedlings - part of our district-wide global grant project to replant the burn zone in coming years.

Rescue Tube Project – Saving Lives, One Tube at a Time
Rotary clubs looking for a life-saving community service project can now support the Rescue Tube Foundation, a Rotary-originated initiative. The foundation has installed over 700 Rescue Tube Stations across Hawaii, North Carolina, Florida, California, and Canada, saving hundreds of lives with no injuries to rescuers. For clubs interested in learning more about how to start a Rescue Tube Project or to support the foundation, please contact Branch Lotspeich, Executive Director of the Rescue Tube Foundation, at branch@rescuetubefoundation.org or 808-639-7458.
