Rich Proctor was inducted into the Rotary Club of Honolulu on August 9th, 2005. He was president of the club during the Covid year of 2020/2021 and has served on various board positions and committees over the years including vocational service and Club secretary. He has chaired the peacemaker committee for 10 years and is currently on the Club Foundation board. Rich was District 5000 treasurer in 2023 and will be again in 2025. He is a graduate of the District 5000 Leadership Academy.
Rich recently retired as an insurance executive at Jerry Hay, Inc. where he worked for almost 50 years. Besides Rotary, Rich served as president/treasurer for the Hawaii Independent Insurance Agents Association. He was also a member of the Honolulu Executives Association for over 35 years and served as president 3 times during that period. He is an active volunteer mediator with the Mediation Center of the Pacific.
Rich lives in Kailua on Oahu with his wife, Nancy, who is also an active Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Honolulu. They have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren living on the mainland. Together they love to travel, plan and experience Rotary service projects abroad.
