Rotary District 5000 members come together to celebrate The Rotary Foundation accomplishment and meet Larry Lunsford will be the Rotary International President 2027-2028. Net proceeds from this event will benefit The Rotary Foundation to further our efforts to do good in the world.
 
Larry is a member of the Rotary Club of Kansas City-Plaza in Missouri.  Lunsford joined Rotary in 1991 and has held numerous global leadership roles, including RI director, aide to RI President Mark Daniel Maloney, and Rotary Foundation trustee and vice chair. He has served on RI and Rotary Foundation committees, including the RI and Foundation finance and executive committees, and chaired the RI Membership Growth Committee and Rotary Peace Centers Committee. 
 
His passion for Rotary service began during his college years. In 1981-82, he traveled to Australia as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar, which he called a “nine-month daily immersion in Rotary.” 
 
Larry A. Lunsford, a certified public accountant, serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Bernstein-Rein Advertising Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. A recipient of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Truman State University, he has served his alma mater on its Alumni Association Board and its Foundation Board. 
The dinner will be a benefit for the Rotary Foundation.  Individual tickets for Oahu residents will be $150 each.  The price for neighbor island residents will be $100.  The dinner will begin at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM so that the neighbor island folks can make the last flight back to their island. Volunteers will be organized to transport participants to and from the airport.
 
Table sales are also available and we encourage clubs to purchase tables for their members and guests. 
The Ilima level at $10,000 would provide the contributor(s) a $8,800 tax deductible donation to the Rotary Foundation, invitation for the 8 table guests to the reception with Larry Lunsford preceding the dinner including 2 drink tickets per person, 2 bottles of wine at the table, a full page ad in the program and a logo on the district website for a year. 
The Pikake level at $5,000 would provide the contributor(s) a tax deductible donation of $3,800, invitation for the 8 table guests to the reception including 2 drink tickets, 2 bottles of wine at the table and a half page ad in the program. 
The Orchid level at $2,500 would provide the contributor(s) a tax deductible donation of $1,300, invitation for the 8 table guests to the reception including 2 drink tickets, 1 bottle of wine, and a quarter page ad in the program. 
The Hibiscus level at $1,500 would provide the contributor(s) a tax deductible donation of $300 and recognition in the program. The committee will need to get the names of the contributors so they can be properly credited with the Rotary Foundation.
